There has NEVER been FDA approval for Biotech Mafia mutants as food.. go review Bush/Quayle Framework of Deregulation for Monsanto and evil genius, revolving door attorney Michael Taylor legislative policy of "substantial equivalents" that has VOLUNTARY Notification that acts as a liability shield for GMO biotech scientific horrors sold as foods.

Maybe if there were genuine commitment to food safety not industry captured shills peddling narrow talking points about "seed oil" rather than GMO novel proteins the public would know how dangerous the food supply has become and the LIE that these are tested or approved by FDA... Tragic a decade ago we had global marches against Monsanto & GMO now we have captured movements pretending to inform & advocate for public health. SHAME on CHD.

Biotechnology Consultation Memorandum of Conference BNF No. 000001

September 19, 1994

Compositional Analysis

Based on the nature of the genetic modification, it was not expected that glyphosate-tolerant soybeans would differ compositionally from other soybean varieties. To confirm this expectation, Monsanto carried out compositional analyses which focussed on analysis of whole beans but also included compositional analyses of major soy-derived products, including toasted soybean meal, soy oil, defatted soy flour, and soy protein isolate.

Based on their analysis of whole beans (and, for certain parameters, various soy products), Monsanto has concluded that glyphosate-tolerant soybeans are not significantly different from other soybean varieties in protein, fat, fiber, ash, carbohydrate, amino acid, fatty acid, trypsin inhibitor, lectin, isoflavone (genistein and daidzen), phospholipid (lecithin), phytate, stachyose, or raffinose content. Monsanto's analysis of some of these parameters in glyphosate-treated soybeans led them to similar conclusions.

In order to verify that glyphosate-tolerant varieties of soybeans express levels of soybean allergens no greater than traditional varieties, Monsanto carried out immunoblot analysis using pooled serum from individuals allergic to soybeans. Monsanto reported that there was no difference between glyphosate-tolerant and control lines of soybeans in the level of expression of immunoreactive material.

Wholesomeness Studies

Monsanto described the results of wholesomeness studies they carried out in rats, chickens, catfish, dairy cattle, and bobwhite quail. On the basis of their consideration of the totality of these studies, Monsanto has concluded that there is no significant difference in the wholesomeness of glyphosate-tolerant and traditional soybean varieties, as expected from their compositional analysis. These data are summarized on page 49 of Monsanto's September 2 submission.

Conclusions

Monsanto has concluded, in essence, that the glyphosate-tolerant soybean variety they have developed is not significantly altered within the meaning of 21 CFR 170.30(f)(2) when compared to soybean varieties with a history of safe use. At this time, based on Monsanto's description of its data and analysis, the agency considers Monsanto's consultation on this product to be complete.

Nobody wants their Franken rockets frack food-like substances. Business owners who put thos on the table are gonna see people walk. I've seen some of the food-like products.

I studied nutrition bc of all the food allergies in the maybe 8 babies born in our circle, who had food allergies, breast fed or not.

Last week I spent s few days down. I had purchased a familiar brand of smoked brisket that we often used for gatherings. It was fully cooked (I dont often use these products any longer, so no reminders needed).

Slow cooker 4 hrs. It didn't fall apart like it normally does, it fell apart in little pieces. Looked like the rubber-like stuff on my kids' kitties food (you outta check those ingredients..if ya dare).

They've been experimenting for a while, it seems. Does it mean its not causing a problem for people? Does it mean it has the same nutritional profile-I doubt it-you can't replicate God's work-ever.

Many digestive problems out there today, the growing list of food allergies is linked to digestion.

Who was the Indian PHD who explained that these products aren't digested the same? Shiva..Vandana? Can't remember.

We've allowed this much too long. Time to get back to reality.

They lobby congress for grant money to research, and those looking to pad their portfolios also contribute. Stop the money supply. Only real food. And is nobody thinking about the huge elephant in the room? If we are "running out of food", why ship the food out and why ship so many in?

Keep it local folks. Know your farmers. Know their practices. Be trustworthy and learn who you can trust. Everyone contribute in some way, to build your communities. We've done this before, no problem! Many willing to teach beside one who wants to learn how to grow.

One last thing. Be vigilant. Im not sure what is happening w this lately, but I always choose organics first. Follow the dirty dozen rules. I've already suffered from long-term unknown illness, dont plan to go back.

So, today, again, I get back from Sam's Club. They always have organic lettuce, and of late, mushrooms too. Bc I was there, I bought some organic bananas too. I went to prepare a meal and the lettuce nor bananas were organic! Im taking them back! They were in a clearly marked "Organic" box. Gotta be more watchful. Those bananas w apeel coating makes those bananas not ripen. 5 weeks this week (bug guts invention-profit). Tell your grocer you won't buy it.

My tracking of Biotech Mafia w GMO is from 1997 so there's decades of toxic products & politics that all lead to the answer you found.. know your farmer.. plant a garden.. grow food even if it's cherry tomatoes or herbs in a sunny window.. also big time fan of greenmarkets.. farm nap links search by zip code & Organic Consumers is my oldest trusted source check their archives too.. serious food news too... CSA farm shares are listed at Local Harvest & Coops are the BEST member owned w oodles of bulk organic EVERYONE should join a food coop & grow community food sources not corp dirtbags.. every dollar is a vote.. invest in your neighbors! <3

Well, for one, it doesn't get to swim thr oceans currents as it usually does, so it csnt develop the muscle. The first time I used farm raised salmon I didn't even know it was out. It was mushy-yuk!

When I went to buy some canned-wild caught, it had 2 ingredients- salmon and "coloring used in the food". Hard pass.

That is the 2nd frankenfood approval with the new administration. I have never heard of labeling requirements on menus. It has always been a battle to get the labeling done in stores. The previous GMO salmon company went out of business. Wonder why they think this one will be successful.

Thank you, for sharing this! Food Business News gives us an insight of what is up and coming too. Next up..Salt. FDA approved a substitute to be used as salt in processed foods and restaurant use -to get our BP down, but reading about this stuff just tends to raise mine.

One form they are approving (for umami" is msg. Many people, including me, are sensitive or allergic to msg. This makes my heart race without even knowing about it. Ended up in ED once over it.

Keep up to date on the newest "experimental rollouts". Makes me nauseated.
